Job Role & Summary

As a Neural Security Research Intern you will be an integral part of our research team, contributing to cutting-edge research projects in the field of neural data security. The primary objective is to research neural security as it relates to the brain-computer interface modulation/ acquisition cycle, neural impact, and other topics. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on pioneering technologies and security strategies to protect sensitive neurological information.

Responsibilities

• Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research on emerging threats and vulnerabilities in neural technologies and data security. Analyze current security protocols in neurology clinics and research institutions.
• Penetration Testing and Auditing: Assist in penetration testing and security auditing of neurological devices and systems. Document findings and recommend improvements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the security team to develop and implement effective security measures. Participate in team meetings and provide input on security strategies.
• Project Support: Provide support in various projects, including developing security governance frameworks for medical devices and contributing to the cybersecurity training curriculum.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on research findings and testing results. Assist in the creation of security guidelines and best practices documentation.

Skills

• Neural Technologies: Basic understanding of or keen interest in neural technologies and brain-computer interfaces.
• Understanding of Neural Interfaces: Knowledge of the principles and workings of neural interfaces, such as brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) and neuroprosthetics. This includes understanding how these devices capture, interpret, and transmit neural data.
